The Republic Urology Center’s Urgench Branch has implemented advanced and complex surgical procedures. Brief information is provided about the ongoing events with the participation of specialists from the center over a 3-day period.

“Human health is an important issue, and there is special attention given to the development of medical technology in the field of medicine. Through international experience and efficient utilization, surgical procedures using laser instruments, which allow deep operations without incisions, are being performed. As a result, patients’ health is being improved rapidly, especially those who, due to fear of surgery through incisions, have been avoiding medical treatment. Our fellow countrymen are now pleased with the innovations in the field of medicine.”

“These operations have significant advantages. Using a small probe, it is possible to laser and remove stones through the ureter, and the main advantage is the ability for the patient to return home on the third or fourth day. Unfortunately, many patients, due to temporary inconveniences, avoid timely treatment, resulting in a decrease in the number of patients with kidney stones in the region.”

“This procedure has its advantages. Removing kidney stones through a small probe is performed using laser technology in Germany, where there is a renowned name for this method among the people. This operation, which involves taking out kidney stones through a probe, is also being successfully carried out.”

“According to the information available, in the last 2 years, more than 3,000 surgical procedures have been performed at the Urgench branch of the Republic Urology Center. In 2020, 547 endourological procedures and 1336 traditional surgeries were carried out, providing relief to a total of 1883 patients suffering from various urological conditions. However, in 2021, this figure decreased to 162 procedures. As a result of the ongoing efforts to combat kidney stone diseases in our region, the number of patients has decreased among the population.” – brief theses from the report.
