On October 15-16, 2018, the Fifth V Congress of Urologists of Uzbekistan with international participation was held at the Hotel International. Prominent scientists from Germany, Sweden, USA and the Russian Federation such as: K. Naber, F. Wagenlehner, M. Popp, B. Wult, C. Sundaram, J. Okhunov, S.Kh. Al-Shukri, O.I. Apolikhin, Z.K. Gadzhiyeva, S.Y. Borovets and leading urologists from neighboring republics: Tajikistan and Kazakhstan, delivered their reports at the congress. Master classes on Endourology were carried out for young urologists as well. Also a presentation was made by our compatriot Alidjanov J.F. – owner of the international grant project with a report on questionnaires: The scale of symptoms of acute cystitis and the Quality of Life Evaluation, which were developed in Uzbekistan and deservedly received international recognition. In addition, it is worth noting that for the first time a large delegation from Tajikistan in the amount of about 40 urologists participated at the congress.

Members of the Department of Urology TMA took an active part at the Congress. In particular, associate professor of the department Sh.I. Giyasov made a presentation on “Complications of Endoscopic Nephrolithiasis Surgery”. It is also worth noting that the staff of the organizing committee of the congress included 5 members of the department: prof. Akilov FA, prof. Mukhtarov Sh. T., Assoc.prof. Giyasov Sh.I., assistants Shomarufov A.B. and Abbosov Sh.A.
